Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi – Lake Nakuru National Park

Your Mzanga Safaris guide will pick you up from your hotel in Nairobi and provide a safari briefing before departing for Lake Nakuru National Park. Upon arrival, enjoy a game drive through the park, famous for its rich birdlife and thriving populations of black and white rhinos. Other wildlife commonly seen includes lions, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, waterbucks, and various antelope species.

Day 2: Lake Nakuru National Park – Maasai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, depart Lake Nakuru and travel through the scenic Great Rift Valley to the world-renowned Maasai Mara National Reserve. Upon arrival, enjoy an afternoon game drive in search of lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, rhinos, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, and numerous plains game species.

Day 3: Full-Day Game Drive in Maasai Mara National Reserve

Spend the entire day exploring the vast plains of the Maasai Mara. Search for the Big Five and other wildlife while enjoying the reserve’s spectacular scenery. Depending on the season, you may witness part of the famous Great Migration. An optional hot air balloon safari is available for those seeking a unique aerial view of the reserve.

Day 4: Maasai Mara National Reserve – Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, depart Maasai Mara and travel via the Isebania border into Tanzania. Continue to the world-famous Serengeti National Park, renowned for its endless plains and abundant wildlife. Enjoy game viewing en route as you explore one of Africa’s most celebrated safari destinations.

Day 5: Full-Day Exploration of Serengeti National Park

Spend the day exploring the vast wilderness of Serengeti National Park. Search for lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, and numerous bird species. The Serengeti offers some of the finest wildlife viewing opportunities on the African continent.

Day 6: Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After a morning game drive, depart Serengeti and travel towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. En route, visit the famous Olduvai Gorge, one of the world’s most important paleoanthropological sites, often referred to as the “Cradle of Mankind.” Continue to the Ngorongoro highlands while enjoying scenic views of the surrounding landscapes.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater Tour – Arusha

Enjoy an early morning descent into the Ngorongoro Crater for an unforgettable wildlife viewing experience.
